Having read through some postings I realise that it is not possible to add my
own layout style to the available list in PP XP - however a colleague seems
to remember reading somewhere that this was possible in 2007. I would love
to do this - can anyone help me with how?

Many thanks
Wendy

Wendy,
Click View tab on the ribbon, choose the button Slide master view in the
Presentation views group. In the edit master group now click Insert layout,
that will give you a new thumbnail which you can adapt to your liking. Give
it an appropriate name using the rename button just next ot the Insert
Layout button. On the Master Layout group click the Insert placeholder
button. And insert as many placeholders as you like and format them the way
you like. Leave the master. On the home tab in the slides group click layout
button and you will find your new layout amongst all the others.
If you want to insert graphics on your layouts first read this:

thanks so much for this Luc - the link is especially helpful to me, really
appreciate you taking the time to reply
