Adding a hardrive

I am trying to add a hardrive when I go to format it as
fat 32 it says the disc volume is too big. its a 120 GB
hard drive. Does this need to be partitioned?

Yeah, cute isn't it?
2K will make a FAT32 drive up to 32gig, will read and use a large
FAT32 drive just fine.... but refuses to make you one

Win2K will only format FAT32 partitions that are 32 gig or smaller.
Either format as NTFS or get a Win98 bootdisk to format as FAT32.
