Adding a field to pivot generates this error.

In trying to add a particulaer filed to my pivot table, I get an error:

" A fieldin your source data has more unique items that can be used in a
pivot table report. Microsoft Excel may not be able to create the report or
may create the report without data from this field."

Any help?
 
Pivot tables have a limit of "unique items". Your source data is too large.
Try filtering out data you won't use and try the Pivot Table with the smaller
source. It sucks, but it has happened to me.
