I have a computer terminal that was originally configured as a dummy terminal
but I needed to add it to the domain farm. I have successfully added the
computer to the domain and suppled the necessary host information but for
some reason, the DNS name is not showing in the properties of this computer.
I must have done something out of sequence. Any ideas to help this computer
join the domain properly so that active direcory accounts are able to log in
to the network.

Not sure how? It's easy and you'll enjoy it

Thanks. The only issue is that I can not change the domain. The "dummy"
login is restricted so that you can not join a domain that way. TEH network
ID and change buttions are both grayed out.

Maybe I misunderstood you. You are saying you added this machine (joined) to
the domain already?

I'm a little confused. If the NetworkID and Change button are grayed out, is
this a Windows 2000 domain controller? Are you logged on as a domain
administrator or local administrator if attempting to change this.

Maybe I am also confused by the term 'dummy' login and how it is restricted.
How is it restricted? Local policy?
