Adding a Column to a Slide

I bet this is really simple, but I'm getting tied up
searching in help with very little time. I would like to
add two colums to a slide and need help in doing so. Any
advice?

One way to display two coluns of text on a slide is to
alter the slide layout. TO do this:

Diaply the slide you want to change in Normal view (View -

View the Task Pane (View -> Task Pane if it is not
currently diaplayed).

From the drop-down list at the top right of the Task
Pane, select Slide Layout.

The top section of the pane contains some Text Layous;
click the 2-column layout and it will apply to the slide.

These are not 'snaking' newspaper columns but you can
aplpy slide builds to them quick and easy.
