I am trying to create a calculated control. The data
source is =[tstnumber]/12 the field is a Number and a long
integer. When I view the form I get #error in the field.
This table and form were created in blank DB, the only
table in the DB is the test table with two entries.

I create calculated fields all the time. But I cannot
understand why this occuring. It seem like a setting has
been changed in Access to prevent the calculation of a
field in a form. When I create a query using the same
field it calculates correctly.

I have rebooted and repaired the DB without success. Does
anyone know what setting I should check to get the cal
field working again.

Stan,

Check to see that the Name Property of your calculated control is not the
same as any of the field names in the table or query to which the form is
bound.

hth,

I created a test DB with totally different names. I have
used three different field names
