I purchased an 80 Gbyte drive, instlled it so the hardware
wizard recognizes it, but widnows does not recognize it.
Apparently, there is a default limit of two IDE dricves in
the Windows Registry. Does enyone know how to edit the
Registry to allow 3 drives?

Actually Windows will recognize up to 4 IDE drives. Regardless of if they
are hard drives or CD drives.

There is no 3-drive limit inside the OS. You would need to say more
about the hardware, etc. and might try *.win2000.hardware group first.
