True...but it should work. However it
is not supported.

Be aware that you will need a copy
of WinXP that can be activated.

I'm no expert on this...I just know it
worked for me.

Could it be a dirty or damaged install disk?

Anyway...after creating the Virtual Machine...
open it and click...Start.

Wait until you see:

'Reboot and Select proper Boot device
or Insert Boot Media in selected Boot device'
(It may be slow to appear)

Place the WinXP Disk in your CD/DVD Drive.

The: Install Options screen should appear.
(If the screen doesn't not appear...and if you have
more than one optical drive...try the other one
after a reboot...) (To reboot...Go to...Action /
Ctrl - Alt + Delete...Or...Right - Alt + Delete)

After you have the install completed...
go to...Action...and select...
'Install or Update Virtual Machine Additions'
(This will allow you to freely move your cursor
from the Virtual screen to your System screen)

Good luck.
