Hi there.

I have added a second DC to my newly created win2000 domain on win2003
enterprise.

I spent a long long time being really confused because I expected that
the DNS would also be created in the second dc.

What is the best way for me to replicate the DNS on the new box.

I am guessing that I should simply tell it to be a secondary, but I
plan to format and rebuild the DC that is currently the primary DNS for
this domain, so not as sure that this is the best thing.

Thanks for your help :-)

DNS is installed by visiting Add/Remove in Control Panel, Windows
Components.

Once installed, if the zone is AD Integrated on DC1, the zone should
automatically appear on the new server. Instead of waiting, I usually just
create the zone, make it AD Integrated, and the data auto appears. No need
to do anything else, no need to create a secondary. If it is AD Integrated,
a secondary will disappear anyway.
