added ram

Installed 2 512mb ram I get 1 long beep when i restart my
computer.I can install up to 2 megs.
any solutions?Computer won't start!!

Reseat your stick and do it more than once, sometimes it takes several
tries.
 
Try one at a time in slot 1 and then one at a time in slot
2. This should show any problem with both ram and slots.
As long as the ram is the correct type
