Add user to domain

My problem is this:
Let's say I want to add Sally to a domain. She's already
got her profile in the PC. When I add her to the domain,
it creates a new profile for her. Her mail, desktop etc.
is gone. How do I just have everything carry over??

Someone told me the only thing I can do is to:

"The easiest thing is to copy all her documents from the
old profile to the new one. Trying to get the system to
use the old one will probably lead to profile corruption.
If she can still log into the local account, then export
her cookies, IE favorites, and mail settings so the can be
imported into the new profile."

This isn't going to be fun for 120 machines. There is no
easier way?? Why does it create a new user??

Think about it for a second. Sally is working on the WIN2000 or WINXP
machine logged on locally. Her user account is a local account. So, her
'log on to:' context is going to be that local machine. When a user logs on
for the first time in a given context his/her profile is generated from the
Default User profile. So, she is happily working away - probably in a
workgroup environment logged on locally to that specific machine.
Everything that she does is in that context.

Now, you come along and build a server and create a domain environment. She
now has a domain user account. When she logs on for the first time in the
domain environment her 'log on to:' context is going to be the domain, not
the local computer. So, as she is logging on for the first time under this
context, her profile is going to be generated from the Default User profile.
She now has two different profiles on this specific computer - her local
profile and her domain profile.

What you can do to alleviate some of your work is to simply use the Copy
To... function. Right click on My Computer, select properties. In the
Advanced Tab there should be a Users Profiles. It is a whole lot better
that manually copying everything.
