add two user defined fields to an accouint

I would like to add to additional fields to an account entry. While I can go
in to custom view and add the fields. I have not been able to find out how
to populate the field. I would appreciate any assistance on this. Thanks
 
You cannot add a user field through custom view. BCM 2003 does not support
adding user fields. BCM 2007 supports that and you can add fields to the form
itself and populate the fields in the form.
