Able to erase the unread mail notification counter on the

Well, that is nothing for a tracks eraser to fix.......

Download TweakUI from MS and after install look for Logon settings
for "unread mail".

I think that TweakUI does not support Service Pack 2 at

is tweakui stable and are there any known issue or

It is unsupported--check out the download site for any release notes--I'm
sure there may be some, but I don't recall.

I've never seen anyone post caveats about using it--I don't have any
hesitation about using it.
