add text in a report

I'm not sure what you mean by "static text" or "static to the report"?
What's the difference between this and a label control?
 
I need to add more than 250 characters in the report. The document will have
legal jargon that will stay the same. It will only have two or three other
items that will come from the information in the database.
 
I can't believe you would use "legal jargon" and "stay the same" in same
sentence. I always anticipate that text like this will change. Try place the
information in a memo field in a table. If the table has only one record,
you can add the table to your report's recordsource and bind a text box to
the memo field.

This solution would allow you to change the "legal jargon" as needed.
