Add/Remove Windows Components problem

Hello,

I am trying to use the Add/Remove Windows Components option through the
Control Panel and I get these messages

Setup was unable to load the master information file
&

The application could not be initialized.

Whats gone wrong and what can I do to put it right?

This can happen if you are missing some of the inf files from \windows\inf.
If you have installed service pack 1, copy the inf files from \windows
\servicepackfiles\i386 back to \windows\inf. Otherwise copy the inf files
from the i386 folder on your XP cd back to \windows\inf.

Thanks very much - that fixed it. Probably also accounted for some previous
difficulties in installing some new hardware!
