Can't uninstall a program (MyWeb Search (Zwinky)). When running the
Add/Remove Tool in the Control Panel, Rundll reports an error: Can't find
module (mwsbar.dll), most probably because the module does not exist because
my avast antivirus utility deleted it. What annoys me is that the error
message keeps popping up every time I start windows because windows is
trying to load it on startup. The most vexing thing of all is that the
search bar was installed not by me, but by a website I have visisted.

I'd advise installing some anti-spyware applications, download the
latest definitions and use them to clean your system out. If you have
managed to get MyWeb Search, who knows what else is lurking.

Windows Defender, Spybot S&D and Ad-Aware are good places to start.

Many times this problem can be corrected by re-installing the program and
then deleting it again.

Ummmm, yes we do, mywebsearch is identified as spyware by pretty much every
quality scanner.

May I suggest you do a google search? What quality scanners? I agree that it
should be uninstalled but spyware???

Why should I do a Google search, do you need me to find you something? That
is generally the classification it falls under. What would you in your
obviously infinite wisdom classify it as?

--

It is reported as spyware but it is not. I only suggest you do a google
search so that you may learn something. If you wish to preserve your
ignorance you may also do that. I.E. I cannot and did not COMMAND you to do
a google search.

So I should believe you over all the scanning apps and malware support
sites? Don't plan on it.

--

Why on earth would I plan on it? You do whatever you wish. I don't control
you and don't want to. Absolutely dumbfounds me why that attitude is taken
when there is an opportunity to learn something.
