ADD/Remove Software

SAB

Hi,

I wanted to delete a program and I used Add/Remove programs from Control
Panel, and unexpectedly couldn't find the Remove icon on the right.
Everything else is there but this when, now I can't remove program from
here. Is there a solution to correct this situation.

Thanks a lot in advance,
SAB

Many programs also put an Uninstall icon in their entry on the Programs
menu, so try looking there.

Otherwise, try installing it again (which mat repair a broken
uninstaller) and then uninstall it.

The absence of the Remove button might be caused by a "NoRemove" DWORD value
in the appropiate subkey of
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall key.
Expand that key from Registry Editor (Regedit.exe) and try to find the
subkey referring to the software you cannot uninstall. Once found, check if
the "NoRemove" value exists; if so, remove it or set a zero to its content.

In addition to Ramesh' response, check if the app is listed under
All Programs and if it has its own uninstaller.

Thank you guys, but I am talking about all the programs in the list of
Add/Remove programs not just one. None of the programs has Remove icon on
the right of its title.

Thanks,
SAB
