Add remove programs

Please, this is ongoing for ever unable to find the
remedy.
My homepage resorts to a res://revcp.dll/index.html in
the regedit i have rewritten what the home page should be
and the search etc. but evertime I 'x' out of IE6 and go
back in the same thing resorts to the above. but the .dll
changes everytime, the page that come up is this stupi
home search. I want my MSN home page. in the add remove
programs the home search is there when I try to remove it
it says "unable to remove cannot find http://lookingfor-
cc/HomeSearch/uninstall.html I enter this in the address
bar and the page comes up you then have to down load the
uninstaller but nothing seesm to work for that.

Does anyone know how to rid this formt he system, there
is also the shopping wizard and search extender...
 
sounds like you've got spyware, my friend.

www.lavasoft.com

download ad-aware, install, run and get the latest updates,
then scan and remove basically all that it finds. i've
never had it remove something it wasn't meant to.

alternately

www.safernetworking.org

download spybot search&destroy and do the same as above.
they're similar programs, but sometimed ad-aware gets
things spybot won't and vice versa.
 
Is there not reason to believe that your computer is infected with spywear
and viruses?

Get a good antivirus program, update it and use it.

Get, update and run Ad-Aware from www.lavasoftusa.com . Run it at least
weekly!

Get, update and run SpyBot Search & Destroy from
http://www.spybot.info/index.php?page=home. Run it at least weekly!

go to control panel-open internet options-on home page
Click to expand...
type in www.msn.com this should then remain as your home
page
