Does anyone know where the add & remove programs gets its information? I
have removed Word Perfect 11, deleted the folders and checked the registry,
but it still shows up on that list taking up 460 megs of disc space. I don't
know how esle to get it gone>>> Any ideas would be helpful.

Hi Matthew

My add/remove programs data seems to be under

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall

Hope that helps

Hi,

The use frequency and size estimate in Add/Remove Programs is just a
major guesswork thing from the OS and what is reported there is not
to be trusted.

The info is saved in a binary value named SlowInfoCache.

More about this value here:

I had a similar problem and finally found this page from Microsoft. The
utility really cleaned it all and then I manually removed all the files
and folders.
