Add Remove Programs

I am still waiting to find someone who may have had a similar problem:

My Search tool will not find anything except GDI, but on my add/remove
programs list is GdiPlusUpgrade with absolutely no other information or way
to change or remove it. GdiPlusUpgrade does not exist on my computer
according to the search tool. When I went to knowledge base to find out how
to remove something that cannot be removed otherwise, there is no
windows>current version that I can uninstall on the registry. I am really at
a loss to figure this out and I don't know why I should have to pay to get
help on it. Seems like a bug to me.

Windows GDI
Purpose
The Microsoft® Windows® graphics device interface (GDI) enables applications
to use graphics and formatted text on both the video display and the
printer. Windows-based applications do not access the graphics hardware
directly. Instead, GDI interacts with device drivers on behalf of
applications.

I do not find gdiplus.dll, and there is no indication on the add or remove
programs list as to what GdiplusUpgrade is. As you know, some programs can
have "names" which mask their true identity. I am concerned because there is
no way to tell on the add or remove programs list what the program is; there
is no change/remove button, which all of the others have. It just says Used
and rarely. There is an application icon. And none of my other computers
have it listed. It just appeared the other day. I didn't download anything
like that. There may very well be a GDI+ dll program in existence but that
doesn't mean that is what I am looking at.

Thanks for your response.

And when I run "hijack this" I do not find Gdi or Gdiplus or anything like
that running.
