Hi everyone,
I have a general type question about duplicate programs that are listed it
add/remove programs in control panel. I am using xpsp2.
I have four acrobat readers listed and two java's listed. Is it safe to
uninstall the older version numbers (and then wipe out any scraps left in
windows explorer), or do you need to keep them because when you do an update
because it is "additive" so to speak, and it still needs the older
directories also, for the complete application to work - dunno - just trying
to learn.
And if I can delete the older versions, how come the updates aren't more
user friendly (ie why don't they delete them for you).
Also does the java plugin icon in the control panel (which gives you the
"Java plugin control panel" when you double click it) disappear if you
delete all references to java in add/remove programs, or does it stay as
part of a "windows" thing.
Thanks...Pete
