Add/Remove Programs doesnt show up

I recently removed the Blaster worm from my system and downloade the critical update, however, I cannot confirm that the update is properly installed because when I go to add/remove programs, nothing is listed...any ideas? Thanks
 
Hi Carol,

Start/run regedit, verify that one of these keys exist:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Updates\Windows XP\SP1\KB824146
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Updates\Windows XP\SP2\KB824146

If either exists, then the update is installed.
