Add remove program error message

I get the following error message when I try to open the
add/remove program:

An unexpected error occured.

Wrong number of arguments or invalid property assignment.

Which includes:
At the prompt, type REGSVR32 APPWIZ.CPL

YMMV. Suggest a registry backup first.
 
Did you happen to delete games recently, without
uninstalling? I did this once and it killed the entire
Add/Remove feature.
Games have to be properly unhidden and removed.
