Greetings!

My new laptop came pre-intsalled w/ MSN Explorer web
browser. I wish to replace it with a straight forward IE6
- no MSN version.

IE6 will not install w/MSN Explorer installed (I get an
error msg) ...however, MSN Explorer DOES NOT appear in the
AddRemove Programs window. I am ready to scream.

Any thoughts? Most appreciated.
Cynthia-

IE6 is already installed in Windows XP. You can uninstall
MSN Explorer as follows:

Go to Start > Settings > Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs >
Add/Remove Windows Components > and uncheck MSN Explorer,
then click "Next".

To access IE6:

1. Right-click on your Desktop and select New > Shortcut.
2. Copy and paste the following in the resulting box:

"C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe"

3. Click "Next".
4. In the next box type: Internet Explorer
5. Click "Finish".

Thank You Carey!

I NEVER would have thought that MSN Explorer was a Windows
Component. You made my day!

Fare thee well and thank you again, Cynthia-
