Howdy Folks,
With assistance from canon, I completely removed WIA drivers for a canon g3
camera, and installed updated ones using device manager. The problem is that
add/remove still identifies the original drivers from a botched installation
and does not provide the remove function. They just sit there with date and
frequency of use showing. Through the process of removal , I have
established that this causes intermittent crashes with the IRQL blue screen
message that still boots after the 27 second count down. Canon has no
answers for me and said go to Microsoft that has no answers. All the removal
option with removal software such as jv16 have been tried and failed the
broken entry just immediately returns. Can't reinstall and remove either.
This entry, or something in it, is somehow interfering with the new drivers,
and its not the old ones as they have been all removed. I need some
technical assistance from someone who knows what puts the add/remove entry
there in excruciating detail. The regedit examination of the uninstall key
does not show this entry anywhere..........Who can help? Thanks
