Add/Remove Black and White Stripes

I have a large gap of white, black and black and white stripes between my
programs in the add/remove programs. The space occurs between a program
starting with "d" (Dell System Restore) and one starting with "g" (G15A922EN)
The last mentioned is from Dell also, although I have no idea what it is.

I read the posts regarding this issue on 7/31, which is the same that I have
read all over the internet. I tried changing the mentioned registry to 1,
instead of -1. I tried running the CAD fix listed, but these did not work.

Please, this time, in plain English! I am not stupid, but all posts I have
read seem confusing on this subject and seem to indicate that even if I fix
the problem, it will probably keep happening.

Did you reboot? Registry changes require a restart to become effective.

Google (or whatever search engine you use) "add remove white space xp"
[without the quotes]. There are many references.
