I've done this before - I just don't remember how. But I'm sure I didn't
have to set an environment variable as part of the procedure. I just added
my program's information to an existing list.

I have an alternative
on the menu go to >Open With>chose Default Program
Uncheck Set as Default Box
Select a Program off the list and click okay
If Program Is Not On list Click Browse...
