Add Printer Wizzard Not Doing Anything

I am trying to install a hp laserjet 4. The printer
works fine (I had it do a self test) and the cable is just
fine (took it of a working printer). I checked the system
event viewer and could find no errors concerning the
printer or printer spooler. When I try to use the add
printer wizard, I double click on it and nothing happens
(I mean absolutely nothing as if i didn't even click). Any
help would be much apprecaited so i don't have to do a
reload.

From the command prompt type

sfc /scannow
(note space between c and /)

This is the System File Checker
