I have a client that uses Win2K server and Win XP
clients. The problem is that they have to use local
profiles and thus network printers need to be added for
each user...and if they logon to a different workstation
they have no printers again - due to local profiles not
carrying over network printers.
Anyway - so yes, I do have a script that creates network
(even local) printers as users logon. I based mine off
the computer name to determine which printers to add.
If you would like it please shoot me a mail as I really do
not want to have to edit the whole thing to post it (I
really don't want to post my server names and all to the
world...nor do I want to have to edit the heck out of it
either...I am responding to this while I am on hold so I
don't think I have that kind of time.)
Shoot me a mail (e-mail address removed) and I'll hit you with
the script and directions on what to edit/change.
