I want to add a field in my table that
needs to show a picture. Do I use a
hyperlink to the jpg or an OLE Object.
Then how do I get the picture to show
up in a query. This query/table ? will
have to be exported to a label program
to print picture.
Eh? "Exported to a label program?" You need to clarify... if this is some
software external to Access, then to even begin to answer your question, you
would have to explain that program's import requirements.
I create my labels from Access data, using Access Reports... there are
Wizards available for many sizes of label, and you can, if you wish, create
your own from scratch.
The sample doesn't include every possible way: it does not, for example,
include hyperlinking, but I have used that approach on Forms. I wouldn't
know how to use it in a report, which isn't interactive.
The sample imaging databases at
http://accdevel.tripod.com illustrate three
approaches to handling images in Access, and the download includes an
article discussing considerations in choosing an approach. Two of the
approaches do not use OLE Objects and, thus, avoid the database bloat, and
some other problems, associated with images in OLE Objects.
If you are printing the images in reports, to avoid memory leakage, you

http://www.lebans.com/printfailures.htm.
PrintFailure.zip is an Access97 MDB containing a report that fails during
the Access formatting process prior to being spooled to the Printer Driver.
This MDB also contains code showing how to convert the contents of the Image
control to a Bitmap file prior to printing. This helps alleviate the "Out of
Memory" error that can popup when printing image intensive reports.
