add or remove programs icon disappeared

I don't know what or how I did it but the icon for add or remove programs is
gone from the control panel. Is there a way or should I say a EASY way to get
it back???

Go to start/run, and type :
appwiz.cpl

Create a shortcut with this command and drag it into control panel.

I guess I don't follow you. I went to start/run, and typed the appwiz.cpl and
clicked OK and it didn't do anything. I tried a search on my C drive and
found the file in the system32 folder. What else can I do???

If you see an icon in the taskbar for the app, it's just moved off screen.

Click it to put the focus in the app, then Alt-space, M, up arrow, and click
the mouse to call it back onscreen

don't have enough experience to do some of what you are asking.

Line #146 has an 'undo' for add or remove restrictions.
