I recently checked my add ons (for the first time) and found some things tht
i don't know what they are. Can anyone tell me if i need these?
Actimage Room control, actimage pattern control, active movie control
object, CoAxTract Class, {53707962-6F74-2D53, free threaded XML DO (I have 3
of these), PeerDrawC Class, Search Assistant OC. They are all enabled. I am
running XP.

Try to scan with an anti-malware program as Mark mentioned download the
defender and explorer these Add-Ons.
Some of these add-ons and what it means:

Here a cleaning steps you can try:

Go through these Cleaning steps:
1... First, try to clean up your caches, Internet files and delete cookies
by doing this:
Click Start >> Control Panel >> Double click Network and Internet
Connections >> Double click Internet Options.
On the IE properties windows you will see these Tabs:
General | Security | Privacy | Content | Connections | Programs |
Advanced
Under General Tab clear your History, Internet Files and Cookies.
Then click on Advanced tab and scroll down to under the Browsing Option:
[&] Browsing
[ ] Enable Third-Party browser extensions (Req Rest) uncheck this box.
Then click on Programs Tab and click Manage Add-Ons and Disable all non
Verified Add-Ons (You should Renable them later one-by-one and see the
culprit and update it or remove it.
