after having to totally reinstall windows on my computer
following a virus attack, I find that I cannot access
email through windows messenger anymore....this also hold
for viewing member profiles, getting file transfers, etc.
basically everything that the add-on pack is supposed to
address. however, when attempting to get to that website,
I am directed to the msn 6.0 download site (which I
already have installed). My question is....does the add-
on site still exist, and if so, how do I get there. If
not, will the add-on pack be available as a download
through the repair site?

I have the same problem so i need help to this too. I
would like to disable the whole messenger program but then
outlook takes too long to open. I would like to know how
to keep the update windows messenger box and the "you need
to verify your e-mail address" boxes from popping up every
time i sign-on. I do not use messenger.

Greetings Arlene,

Since you don't use Messenger, you can just disable it as you previous did. However, before
you disable it, in order to stop the "Outlook" delays, do the following --
For Outlook (XP/2002), just open Outlook, click the Tools menu, then Options, then the
Other tab, and uncheck 'Enable Instant Messaging in Microsoft Outlook'. For Outlook Express,
close Outlook Express, and run this .reg file:
