Internet Information Service Web Server

Hi

I am trying to install Internet Information Service Web Server (IIE). I am
told it is available as an add-on component, but that I require my OS CD ROM
to install such components.

I received my XP licence with my new PC, but I have never had an actual CD
ROM for windows XP.

How do I get an XP CD?
How can I add these components?

Regards

John

Hi John

IIS isn't supported by XP Home Edition. You will either have to upgrade to XP Pro or use a 3rd party program such as Apache - http://www.apache.org/

You will need to contact your PC supplier with regard to the XP CD.

What About Personal Web Server.

Is this part of IIS or is it a separate server application.

If the later, how do I get a copy.
