Hi folks,

I simply cannot solve this problem via Powerpoint Help, Online Help,
whatever...

-> I want to add a third editable text field in my ppt master layout. The
behavior should be exactly the same as the two already existing fields (Title
Area for AutoLayouts / Object Area for AutoLayouts). So the field should be
editable in normal view.

Any suggestions? Is this possible at all?

Thanks for your input!
Philipp

Philip,
If I understand your problem correctly it seems you want to add a third
placeholder to the mother Master layout, you can't. You will have to add it
to the individual layout Title and object. It's the second one under the
mother master.

This capability was added in PPT 2007. Which version are you running?
