Hello,

we are working quite a lot with camtasia. Now we found a trick, how to
add a music file, 60 mins, to a powerpoint presentation. ppt by
default only alows sound at turn of page

1. import ppt to camtasia
2. run record
3. say nothing or say whatever you want, or even better: read the
pages loud
4. this way we know how long a user normally would read a page, eg. 10
to 30 seconds
5. save
6. produce wmv
7. use matrix to delete sound from wmv
8. imponrt soundless wmv to camtasia
9. add music mp3
10. produce wmv with music

In case there is a shorter way, we are thankfull to learn this.

Thanks

M.

Hi M.,

you can use Slideshow - Rehearse timings to read your presentation and add
automatic slide transitions to your presentation. Then record this automatic
slide show using Camtasia's PowerPoint add-in. You can add the music at the
begin of the PowerPoint presentation or insert it in Camtasia as Audio track
2. I would prefer the latter, because it uses less CP'U power and the
presentation will run more smoothly.

Best regards,
Ute

I agree

Generally it's much better to grab the 'video' part of powerpoint, and then
add the audio later using camtasia's editor/timeline feature
