Greetings and hallucinations!

I am having a problem when starting Outlook 2003 (Student & Teacher
Edition).

When I launch the program the following dialog box appears after the
program opens...

'C:Documents and Settings\Scott\Application Data\Microsoft\AddIns\C:
\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office\SBCMSYNC.DLL' is not a valid
Office Add-in. [Then there is the OK box to click on]

When I click on OK and the box closes I can use the mail program with no
problems. I looked in the folder referenced in the first part of the
box (after making sure that show hidden/system files is checked). That
folder is completely empty. I have searched my entire computer (again
looking for hidden files) (3 drives/4 partitions for the SBCMSYNC.DLL
file and can not find that DLL file anywhere.

My Outlook Mail folder is in the following path...
D:\Application Data\Outlook Mail And there is a file called Personal
Folders (with a pst extension) in there, which presumably is the mail
data itself.

I did try the detect and repair option in the help menu, but it did not
help.

Any idea what I can do to get rid of that annoying box every time I
start up Outlook?

Thanx!

Scott.

What if you go to Tools | Options | Advanced | Add-In Manager and see
if you can find an add-in that looks like it's that one? Remove or disable
it.
