Add-In loads but does not register -- why?

I have an XP Pro SP2 PC where i just migrated the profile from a local
profile to a domain profile (copied using wizard).

The user lost a fileviewer add-in that loads from a vendor website. On
reload is downloads, expands, runs, appears to load; however, it is not
listed in the add-ins (does not register) and will not work.

When the user clicks a document to view it just tries to reload the
fileviewer everytime.

We are having some other permissions issues on this PC so I believe it might
be related to IE permissions.

Ideas?

Hi,

Since you don't give us any address, we can't have a look. I guess there
is a script that is supposed to do this, and that it has an error.

Did you try File, Save as - or printing the page as a PDF file using
something like PDF creator (pdfcreator.sourceforge.net) ?

Kind regards

Hans

The website is a subscription website www.isqft.com. I'm not sure what the
format of the files is that are stored there. I'll be back on site for a
little bit today and try to find out.

Hi Al,

Check your Profile scripts (.ins) there is a listing of forbidden activeX
controls that administrators can use to stop the loading of certain
controls..
See the IEAK Profile Manager.

Regards.
