On start-up of Outlook XP/2002 it displays two error messages relating to
McAfee dll's it can't find.
Due to system problems (following installation of Windows XP SP2) I recently
did a complete clean re-installation of Windows XP and, of course, of Office
and other applications. Outlook gave these error messages before anything
else (anti-virus software) had been installed. It's a complete mystery to me
how Outlook could possibly know - following a complete re-installation -
that I previously had McAfee virus scan installed...
I have now installed the latest version of McAfee virus scan hoping this
also would get rid of those messages, but the behaviour is unchanged.
(Initially, the list of add-in components was empty; now it contains the
list of components for the new version.)
Can someone advise if there is a way to rid myself of this major irritation?
Thanks
