Hi - With so many federal agencies using Outlook why can't we get an option
to add Federal Holidays to our calendar? I see places to buy it, but I think
it should be included or at least an option.

Thanks

I understand it is used worldwide; however, federal holidays within the US
should be made available as an option. It's used not only by federal
agencies but companies nation-wide.

What federal holidays are missing from Outlook? Does the update from MS
(http://www.slipstick.com/calendar/holidays.htm#ol2000update) have them?
what about free sites like calendar-updates.com?

Hi - For example - Christmas this year falls on Sunday, December 25; however,
the work holiday is on Monday, the 26th. This is also the holiday of US
Banks. I cannot find those anywhere.

Thanks

Maybe you can talk to the DOJ, I'm sure they'd be happy to help. Seriously
though, why not just edit the holiday file adding those of personal
preference to you just like any other private company does?

I'm sure the DOJ would love to have this option as well. These are days
which change each year, BUT still occur each year. Just thought it was
something a lot of people could benefit from when looking at the calendar.
Seeing the holiday doesn't necessarily mean you get that particular work day
off. Since so many companies abide by the same rules when a holiday occurs,
I thought it was something they should think about.

Oh I agree that *a lot* of people, particularly in the US government and the
financial industries could benefit from having these publicly available to
Outlook users. Perhaps the US government's Office of Personnel Management
could spend a day or two and publish this for public use.

Perhaps the congress could appropriate $30,000 for this when they pass the
legislation that establishes these dates.

Or, perhaps you'd buy it from me for $5 a copy if I did it? ;-)

Most of the companies that I work for has IT do it and HR publishes it as an
internal resource. It's really not that hard.
