Add 'Eject' to right-click menu?

I have a CD-RW and a DVD-ROM, in Win XP Pro SP1. I have
recently (4 weeks ago) re-installed XP from scratch.

Now, when I right-click on the CD-RW, 'Eject...' is one
of the options. It does not appear on the DVD-ROM right-
click menu. I'm (reasonably) certain it was there before
the reload.

Is there anyway that I can add the 'Eject' command to the
menu?

PS: WinUpdate says I am 'current' with all patches,
honest.

Bob, rt click on MyComputer>Select Properties>Hardware>Device Manager.
Click on + sign next to
Dvd/Cdrom Drives and rt click on your Dvd rom drive. Choose
Uninstall. Then Restart your computer and let
WinXP reinstall the Dvdrom drive.

Thanks. Did this but unfortunately, I still don't have 'Eject' on the
right-click menu.

I wonder if this was like this "before" ... ?

Dig this: The shortcut on my desktop did NOT have "Eject" in the right-click
menu. I happened to have Windows Explorer open, and happened to notice that
right-clicking the pointer to the DVD-ROM showed me ... (wait for it) ...
'Eject'!!

So I simply created a new shortcut from THAT pointer, which was createdc on
the desktop. The new shortcut DOES have 'Eject'. I dumped the old desktop
shortcut (where did it come from?) and all is fine, now.

Thanks for at least sparking what little is left of my mind ...
