Hello all. Here's the basic scenario: I am using an app and want to open a
document, or other file, so I hit the Open button, and get the open window
(WinXP Home). On the left of this window is a group of icons under Look In:
Basically they are standard item. Is there a way to add or delete items from
this Look In: list? If so, will that affect all Open windows, or only the
app I am in at that time?
Does this make sense? Can NE1 help?
TIA!

How can I edit the default Places bar quick links in Windows XP's and
Windows 2000's Open and Save common dialog boxes?

You can accomplish the same by downloading TweakUI from the following page:
TweakUI v2.00 for Windows XP/XP MCE [564 KB].
http://download.microsoft.com/download/whistler/Install/2/WXP/EN-US/TweakUiPowertoySetup.exe

TweakUI v2.10 for Windows XP SP1/XP MCE/2003 [147 KB].
http://download.microsoft.com/downl...a6-b352-839afb2a2679/TweakUiPowertoySetup.exe

(This setting applies globally (which uses comdlg32 control) and not just a
specific application.

Many thanks. That worked well for non-Office apps. Is there a way to also
change the Places in Word and other Office apps?

Yeah. It's possible.
