Hi

I have created a "blank presentation" design template where the first slide
is totally blank, but when I add another slide, either by clicking on the
..New Slide"
icon or going to Insert/New Slide, the new slide contains
two text boxes and the words "click to add title" and
"Click to add text".
Is there some way of getting the new slide to appear totally blank?

please advise

Daniel

[CRITICAL UPDATE - Anyone using Office 2003 should install the critical
update as soon as possible. From PowerPoint, choose "Help -> Check for
Updates".]

Hello,

PowerPoint doesn't provide the functionality that you are looking for (set
default slide layout) without resorting to VBA or add-ins. However, if you
are using PowerPoint 2002 or PowerPoint 2003 you can insert new slides via
the Slide Layout task pane so you can choose "Insert new slide" from the
drop-down menu for the "Blank" slide layout each time you want to insert a
blank slide.

If you (or anyone else reading this message) think that it's important that
PowerPoint provide additional functionality for specifying custom defaults,
don't forget to send your feedback (in YOUR OWN WORDS, please) to Microsoft
at:

As with all product suggestions, it's important that you not just state
your wish but also WHY it is important to you that your product suggestion
be implemented by Microsoft. Microsoft receives thousands of product
suggestions every day and we read each one but, in any given product
development cycle, there are only sufficient resources to address the ones
that are most important to our customers so take the extra time to state
your case as clearly and completely as possible.

IMPORTANT: Each submission should be a single suggestion (not a list of
suggestions).
