'Add and Remove Programs'

When trying to go into 'Add and Remove Programs' in 'Control Panel' I get the
massage: Please wait while the list is being updated................... But
nothing happens.

Please advice me on what's wrong

I assume you mean "Please wait while the list is being *populated*"?
How long are you giving it time to populate and display the list?

Yes*populated*, sorry. I left it for some hours and still it didn't populate
th list.

Have you installed or un-installed any programs lately? How about
installing/un-installing anything from Windows Update?

Hi Curt,
I've recently formated and reinstalled all, mostly windows updates and
didn't look at the Add/remove till a couple of days ago, when I first saw the
problem.
