add account to outlook business contact manager

I just installed BCM on my computer and it seems to work. I can add business
contacts, but when I want to add an account, I get a failure message, saying
"failed to load resources from resource file. Please check your Setup". I did
a full installation, got no errors when doing so. Removed Outlook and
installed again, still the same problem! Where did I go wrong....?
 
I only just started testing BCM for my shop, and all the really knowledgeable
folks are testing the not-released Beta of BCM V3, but one Q - did you
install BCM V2 Update? It's free and on the MSFT site. I know that the
update resolves lots of install problems.

thanks, yes I do have version 2.... it's funny, furthermore it works fine,
just this silly part that doesn't function.
 
Now not to pour cold water, but Chris said he repaired 3x, that Account
functionality would not persist, so don't hold your breath. Resources
usually mean DLLs (Right, guys?) so this could be specific to your entire
apps install picture on that machine, and not just a BCM install issue. Keep
us informed, and I'm glad it's working today. <g>

Yup resource refer to DLL files if this does not work a repair of .Net Frame
Work would also help
 
I saw somewhere else that you had recommended this approach, but the guy you
suggested it to did not reply as whether or not it was successful, so I
didn't mention it. It does work for this specific problem? Can you give a
short answer why?

Hi Susan

Most of the forms that BCM use are dervied from Outlook hence there is a
great similarity when you compare them.A detect and repair of Outlook
resolves the issue because if check if the default forms as well as the if
dll files used by them are avalaible else replaces them.
