Add a shortcut to the list in 'New'

I need to add a shortcut to the "new" option in expolorer. for
instance, when I right click my desktop, I can choose 'New' and there
are a bunch of things in there depending on what software I have
loaded. I want to add to that list manually. Anyone know how?
