I'm really hating Windows XP -- can't do simple things in
it like adding a screen saver and changing to the mouse
to respond to single clicks rather then double clicks.
Anyone know how to do either of these? It was so easy on
Windows ME!

Thanks!

If the ScreenSaver is a ".EXE" file, double-click the file

If the ScreenSaver is a ".SCR" file,

- Place the ".SCR" file in "C:\WINDOWS\system32" folder.

- Rename the ".SCR" file so that the filename begins with the lower-case letters "ss", and delete any space characters in the
filename.

- Right-click the ".SCR" file, then click | Install |

For single vs. double click, go to Control Panel, Folder Options, General tab. You'll find that setting in the bottom section.

For screen savers, either use the installer it came with, or right click the SCR file and see if an Install option exists.
