Add a blank space

I have a subreport that I need to add a space before each
line on text - the text box is bordered, and the text
needs to be indented on each line (strictly for
appearence's sake!!) I tried (in the text box on the
report)

=" "&[FieldName]

but it won't work. can I do this?

should work. You did not say what results yu obtained or
exactly what did not work.
Did you possibly get an error like #name
This could have resulted if the textbox and the variable
have the same name. The textbox name in this case can ot
be the same as the name of one of your data elements.
