ad W2003 DC in a W2000 Domain

Hi,
i want introduce a Windows 2003 Enterprise Server DC in a Windows 2000
domain.

The W2000 DC have the SP4 installed and Active Directory.

I run AdPrep.exe on the W2000 DC ... but no sch*.ldf or dcpromo.sc_
exist on the DC.

What is wrong ? Where i fail ?

Are you running the Adprep.exe from the 2003 CD or did you copy the exe to
the 2000 machine?
Try running it directly from the CD on the 2000 DC as in
d:\i386\adprep.exe /forestprep
 
Additionally, you might want to make sure that you are running this on the
WIN2000 Domain Controller that holds the FSMO Role of Schema Master while
using an account that is a member of the Schema Admins ( such as the default
Administrator account ).

Please note that this is not an intended solution to your issue, just an
'add-on' to the answer that James gave you.

PS. And do not forget about running adprep.exe /domainprep!
