AD Users and Computers

Matt Burks

This is probably a very simple question but, is there a way to use the MMC
AD Users and Computers on a workstation instead of only have the server? My
previous employer was a very large company that used Alita's software to
allow us to do stuff like reset passwords and create AD accounts on servers
that were housed at corporate. Is there a way to do this with what comes
with MS AD without third party software?

Thanks,
Matt

Download the adminpak.msi from the server onto your 2k or later machine.
You'll be able to administer a lot of things from a workstation joined to
the domain.

Hi,

You can install adminpak.msi on your workstation. It's on the Windows Server
CD, or can be downloaded from Microsoft.com.
